Principal's Message
Prof. (Dr.) Mahender Singh Bagi, H.E.S.I
Principal
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Nelson Mandela
Dear Students and Well-wishers,
Higher education plays a key role in the overall development of the society. The role of higher education is definitely not limited to giving and grasping knowledge and theory. The true goal of higher education transcends much beyond just awarding degrees and certificates to the students. The quest of education is knowledge humanity culture wisdom and sharpness. Students need to learn that knowledge is not given but earned and character is not granted but cultivated. That is exactly the underlying purpose of the New Education Policy 2020. Being the head of a government institute it is my first and foremost duty to align the education framework in the college with NEP 2020 guidelines of DHE Haryana and Kurukshetra University while making it sure that institutional strategies duly honour the local cultural heritage and the communal structure of the surrounding society. Institutional Development Plan of SUS Government College Matak Majri has been specifically developed with the vision to strengthen the five pillars of education in the state i.e. Affordability Accessibility Quality Equity and Accountability. Communal Harmony Rural Culture Nature conservation and Patriotic ambience are the distinctive elements of this college and shall remain the focus of all the policy initiatives. I wish all the faculty members and the students to be so dedicated to harmonious growth that SUS government College is much more than just a degree awarding institution. May it become an abode of learning an abode of growth an abode of transformation. I wish all the students a grand success in their career and prosperity in their future life.
Dr. Mahender Singh Bagi
